Alpha Diagnostics is a leading provider of neurophysiological intraoperative monitoring services in the southern California area. 

We are currently seeking per diem and full-time Neurodiagnostic Specialists (EEG and IONM) to fill multiple positions for 2011. 

EEG Technologist 

The EEG technologist performs neurodiagnostic procedures utilizing standard protocols supported by the American Society of Electroneurodiagnostic Technologists (ASET) and American Clinical Neurophysiology Society (ACNS). The procedures performed include: EEG (ICU, adult, adolescent, and neonatal), and possible additional modalities requested by the ordering physician. The EEG tech also is responsible for patient scheduling, patient preparation, transporting equipment to bedside for in-house patients, maintaining computers/printers and other equipment, entering patient charges, basic clerical work, and appropriate storage of patient records and information. The EEG technologist will also be required to participate on an on-call schedule to provide emergency diagnostic or monitoring services after hours (weekends and holidays). 

License/Certification/Registration Requirements: Registration by ABRET in EEG or EP. 

IONM Technologist 

The IONM technologist performs all aspects of neurodiagnostic testing procedures to assess the functional integrity of the peripheral and/or central nervous system during vascular, orthopedic, and neurosurgical operative procedures, in accordance with standards of practice as defined by Alpha Diagnostics, and the American Clinical Neurophysiology Society (ACNS). The IONM technologist must posess strong PC skills and be able to troubleshoot in a complex environment. The IONM technologist will also be required to participate on a rotating on-call schedule to provide emergency diagnostic or monitoring services after hours (weekends and holidays). 

License/Certification/Registration Requirements: Registration by ABRET in EP or CNIM, CNIM preferred.
